Overview
Organizations interested in regional ocean management and other ocean-related initiatives will appreciate the quick access to the complex set of laws that govern the nation's ocean waters provided by the Legislative Atlas. Users can select an area on a map and see the coastal and ocean laws that apply to that area. The Legislative Atlas supports the work of regional ocean councils, which are entities recommended by the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy to improve the management of the nation's coasts and oceans.
